The Cutter Teak Outdoor Bench by Niels Hvass takes its cues from the German Bauhaus movement — distilling a slatted seat and coherent frame into a quietly confident form. Crafted from untreated solid teak, it develops a natural silver-grey patina over time. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, it works equally well on a terrace, in a garden, or as a hallway bench that moves with the seasons.

Niels Hvass (b. 1958) is a Danish furniture designer who co-founded Strand + Hvass with Christina Strand in 1991. His work is defined by sincerity and a quiet ambition to captivate through considered form.
