Folding Without Compromise

When Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm designed the Pliko Chair in 1963, their ambition was precise: create a lounge chair that takes up as little space as possible when not in use, without sacrificing comfort or character. The result is a foldable chair that looks anything but provisional. Visible joints, beautiful brass fittings, and saddle leather armrests give it a distinctive, considered expression — details that other designers might seek to hide, here made into the point of the design.

The solid oak frame and curved rear legs are shaped for stability. The seat and back are upholstered in stitched linen canvas, fitted with corresponding cushions for comfort. The adjustable backrest folds completely flat, making the FK11 genuinely versatile — a permanent fixture that can disappear when needed. Available in a low-back (FK11) and high-back (FK10) version.
