Artek A805 Angel Wing Floor Light

The A805 is known as the “Angel Wing” — a nickname that comes from the asymmetric sweep of its hand-riveted louvered shade. Designed by Aalto for the National Pensions Institute in Helsinki, it is one of the most materially considered pieces in the Artek collection: the shade is formed from individual steel strips, white painted and hand-riveted, while the stand is steel covered in hand-sewn black leather, connected by a brass tube in either polished or nickel plated finish. The louvered construction creates an interplay of direct and indirect light — precise downward illumination with a softer diffusion through the slats.

Available in two finishes: polished brass tube or nickel plated brass tube.
